Our carbon fiber hoods are made mostly from OEM base molds to achieve the closest possible fitment to your OEM hood. Due to our large catalog of makes and models, we do not keep hoods in stock. We do not sell insurance for your package, if your hood arrives significantly damaged, we will replace it for you, all customers are protected by our order security guarantee.

Each hood will be handcrafted to order. We are able to keep our quality up and our prices relatively down across many makes & models this way.
Week 1-2: Order preparation and scheduling.
Week 2-5: Manufacturing and curing.
Week 6-7: Quality inspection + handling.
Week 8-10: Freight travel.
Week 10-12: Delivery scheduling.

Installation:

There are many different trim levels and options when it comes to certain models. Please understand that installation may require some experience working on vehicles. If you are not handy or do not have access to a body shop, we do not recommend a carbon fiber hood for your vehicle. We try to get our molds as close to OEM fitment as possible, but be aware that when changing the composition of a body panel from metal to carbon fiber, there may or may not be slight, almost inevitable differences. Adjustments to your hood latch, fenders, or cowl, may be needed, which can include trimming, angling, or other adjustments. 95% of vehicles have adjustable fenders and latches which make it simple for the user. Some our hoods come with preinstalled hood strikers, and others do not, for which you can reuse your stock hood striker.

Are the vents on this hood functional?
-Pretty much all of our hoods are functional, live chat with us to check about your exact model.

Do I need hood pins for my carbon fiber hood?
-Yes, for cars regularly driven at highway speeds and more, hood pins are required, or at least highly recommended to prevent vibrations and air drag. Our carbon fiber hoods are very light, and will catch lots of air. ZetaComposites is not responsible for any damage caused by improper latching or installation. 

Can I order this hood with double sided carbon fiber?
-Yes, we can build your hood double sided carbon fiber, just email us through our contact page for details on pricing and customization. 

Does the hood come with a heat shield? Do I need a heatshield?
-No, our hoods do not come with heat shields, and not every model / vehicle needs it. However, we do recommend to use stick-on heat shield along the middle of your hood in areas with lots of generated heat, to prevent premature breakdown of the resin compound, especially if your vehicle runs warm. It can never hurt.
