Shipping Damage & Receiving
At ZetaComposites, we package items carefully to ensure shipments arrive in the condition they were released. Unfortunately, occasionally damage may still occur due to careless handling during the item's journey to you.
All shipping damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery. There are two types of delivery damage. First is small packages, with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or government post. Second is freight packages, including items such as hoods, trunks, fenders, and more. Freight crates can be inspected with the driver present. Small packages will often be dropped off non-signature required. For both packages, please;
- photograph and observe the crate upon unloading for any visible signs of damage
- photograph each side of the box, including a close up of the label
- carefully unbox the item and inspect for damage (please ensure DAMAGE, NOT small visual blemishes from manufacturing)
- photograph damaged areas of the product + photo with the full product in the frame
- retain all packaging materials and product, do not dispose of anything
For large freight crates; if you identify any damage during inspection, please write "damaged" on the sign off sheet with the truck driver. Unnoted damage claims cannot be accepted for freight deliveries. If the driver does not allow you to inspect the crate upon delivery, please write "DRIVER REFUSE INSPECTION" on the sign off sheet.
If a delivered crate is noticeably and severely damaged (multiple punctures, broken wood), please write "DAMAGED" on the sign off sheet.
Finally, submit all damaged claims by
